Blanchardstown Graduation - Parents of Special Needs Children

Graduates of Blanchardstown course for Parents of Special Needs children with Centre Manager Jacqueline Millman

The parents enjoyed the evening course. All learnt new ideas & shared their own experience & knowledge with the group.

New friendships were formed during the course. We are hopeing to run a follow on development course in the new year with the same group of parents.

Limerick Womens Mini Marathon - 5th October 2008

On Sunday 5 October, 24 members of staff, Carers and their families took part in the Limerick Womens Mini Marathon. Among them were 4 men dressed in drag in order to be allowed entry to the marathon. We had fabulous weather on the day although rain was predicted.

The route and sponsorship of the Marathon had changed this year so it was completely new and different for us, but we werent disappointed. We received massive support from the crowds along the route and at the finishing line.

Centre Administrator Symanther Heinzingers son Lokni, aged 7 years took part with a little make-up to make him fit the part and Steffani-Jade McDonagh, Centre Managers daughter Iona, aged 5 years also took part for her third year running!

It was a fabulous afternoon, we had Carers and staff travelling from as far up as Templemore just to support us on the day and we hope to have raised a nice sum of money from it.

Kilkenny - Afternoon Tea for Carers at the Ormonde Hotel 18th September 2008

Family Carers from Kilkenny were treated to a well deserved break with Afternoon Tea and delicious cakes and scones recently courtesy of the Ormonde Hotel, Kilkenny.

Clonmel CITH Course - Certificate Presentation August 2008

The Clonmel centre presented certificates recently to everyone who completed the Care in the Home Course.  Following on from the presentation a fundraising night of music and dancing was held.
