Roscommon Mini Marathon May 2011
The event was a huge success despite the saturation of similar events across the midlands/west of the country recently. There was a turn out of over 500 people and this year each participant wore a timing chip which was well received. Paul McNamara was the first home in a time of 33mins and 26secs. Everyone who successfully completely the 10Km route received a medal and the top three in the running and fun running sections received fabulous hand crafted pottery along with the first professional walker, wheelchair, most senior and junior participants. There were also novelty prizes for the first three in the fun walk category and a free draw for all who attended the prize ceremony in Hannons Hotel where they received a well deserved cuppa and sandwiches. All sponsorship cards should be returned to the Carers Association, Carnagh Kiltoom, Roscommon a.s.a.p. All donations will be gratefully accepted. For more information phone 086-8099494

Dublin Mini Marathon 2010 - June Bank Holiday Weekend

The Dublin Mini Marathon took place on Bank Holiday Monday 7th June. Thanks to all who took part and raised money for The Carers Association. Special thanks to Athlone VTOS (pictured above) who presented us with a cheque for their fundraising efforts.
