New Training Course - Coming Soon

FETAC Level 5 - Practical Home Care Skills

This practical and comprehensive training course has been designed to provide the course participant with all the practical skills and knowledge required to deliver high quality home care and gain a recognised FETAC qualification in the process.

It has been designed specifically with the following people in mind:-

  • Family Carers
  • Home Helps
  • Respite Workers
  • Care Assistants and Attendants
  • Any individual wishing to pursue a career in the Care Sector

 

This course has only just received FETAC approval.  We are now working on the roll-out of this training and will be updating the website on course content and other relevant information in due course.

The Carers Association offers a range of training courses:

Care in the Home

Is accredited by City & Guilds Institute.The training programme is aimed at family Carers and people working in the Caring profession...click here for more details

 

Occupational First Aid courses cover the all essential elements of First Aid. This is a three day course, and is delivered by qualified tutors.

Inanimate and Patient Handling courses cover the health and safety aspects of moving the cared for person. This is a one day course and follows all good practice and recent legislation in this area.

Caring for Children with Special Needs. This course is especially for parents who care for their children and looks at issues such as Difficult and Challenging Behaviour, High Dependency and Providing Holistic Care.

Entitlements for Carers. This course is aimed at providers of information and sets out the various types of support available to family Carers.
